I’ve been head over heels for this awesome pizza joint for the past 10 years and love that no matter which pizza I order, Papa’s always delivers with the goods. $10 for two MASSIVE slices of pizza makes this an inner-city lunch hot spot. I love Sal's pepperoni because it doesn't really get that much more authentic as far as New York pizza goes in Auckland.

My partner and I found this cute pizza restaurant hidden on High St and we decided to give it a shot. The food turned out to be delicious, we shared a pizza with pepperoni, spinach, mozzarella, tomato and chilli and I had a glass of great Italian wine. A romantic, intimate, delicious night out :)

You simply cannot ignore popular opinion. But above that, you cannot ignore the reasons why that (Toto’ Pizza) is popular in the first place - and for Toto’, it’s quailty, flavourful pizza. Sure, they’ve gone and done something ‘cool’ and a little different by selling their pizza ‘by the metre’, but that wouldn’t count for anything if the pizza wasn’t absolutely delicious. The pick of the bunch would have to go to the Boscaiola (spinach, mushrooms, pinenuts, mozzerella, parmesan and truffle oil) - but that’s just me…and 90% of my fellow Toto’ fans - because a slice is truly moreish.

Dantes has become my regular hang out ever since I made an interview video on them a few years back for OliviaRoundTown. I seriously cannot get enough of their delicious pizza and once you hear how they make it, you'll know why it tastes so good. The dough is made over 3-5 days so that the gluten breaks down and is more easily digested and healthier. Most ingredients are imported from Italy or locally sourced, and pizza is cooked in 90 seconds in the traditional Italian hot pizza oven. The true Neapolitan way! Davide and the team of chefs are very talented and always very friendly. Taste: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Must try: Con Prosciutto - this pizza is life changing. I'm super stoked that one of the best pizza joints in Auckland has moved into my working local. Epolito's is by far one of the most authentic places to pick up a great example of a true New York-Italian pizza and the owner Chicky always smashes it out bases, sauces and toppings that create pure pizza perfection. Once calling Onehunga home, Epolito's has now moved into the heart of Ponsonby and is situated in Richmond Rd. It's the ideal stop for me on the way home and, although I love choices, I'm strictly a margherita girl at Epolito's because it's finger-lickin' good.
Great Pizza
Had a couple of pizzas from this place, always been good. Nice friendly staff too. I would recommend the pizzas to anyone. Was very busy on a Friday night, the phone was going mad and plenty of food being churned out pizzas, pastas and other stuff too. I had the "FIRE" with extra chilli and was hot as but superb. The first time there I had the "MEATFEAST" it was chok-a-blok with meat and I couldnt finish all ( made a nice breakfast next day lol) and was very impressed. I am staying in the area a while as a refugee from CHCH and happy to have this place round the corner. makes a refreshing change from Pizza chain cardboard.
