The Fox Sports Bar, Auckland CBD

This place is a classic sports bar, serving up all the cold poured beersies and hearty pub fare that you could ever want. There's a million screens so no matter which way you look, you'll get a top view of the All Blacks showing the rest of the world what's up come Rugby World Cup time, plus they whip up a pretty decent breakfast!

The Flying Moa, Mount Wellington, Auckland

Live out South and can’t be bothered to travel into town to watch a Rugby World Cup game? This Mt Wellington establishment is a classic New Zealand pub - a nod to the watering holes of yesteryear. Plus they will be serving up delicious breakfast and drinks with this years early World Cup All Blacks Matches - I'll definitely be up first thing in the coming months to watch the All Blacks make history all over again!

Black Salt Bar and Eatery, New Lynn, Auckland

One of West Auckland's sweetest sports bars - Black Salt in New Lynn is the place to be if you want a delicious meal and a fresh pint while you watch the All Blacks win (touch wood). It's a little more low key than a lot of the bars on my list but the screen's big and the beers are cold so come down and get into it!

Homebase Sports Bar, Te Rapa, Hamilton

Homebase screens a wide variety of different sports, so you’ll usually find the game you’re looking for. Chilled out vibe, NZ beers on tap and bar meals available. Tip: If you’re a local, join the loyalty club and help choose which games to air. Find them: Bryant Road

Chicago Sports Cafe, Wellington CBD

If you’re looking for 100% party vibes with people just as excited about the game as you, this is the place. People just kept coming in and the atmosphere kept getting better and better. An all American inspired menu makes this an place awesome to settle in for an afternoon of NBA too, it’s THE BEST!

Stumpers Bar and Cafe, Hokitika, West Coast

This place goes off every Saturday night in Hokitika, thanks to the good cheap drinks, live music and live sports coverage. And they serve breakfast every morning if you ever need help nursing that hangover.

Editor's Cut Sports Bar, Invercargill

Watch all the amazing rugby action on the big screen down at Editor’s Cut Sports Bar. Part of the Kelvin Hotel complex, grab a seat at the bar and watch the racing on the massive TAB screens. If pokies are more your thing, then take your pick of 18 machines! This is the place to be any night of the week.

Four Kings Sports Bar, Wellington CBD

What a place to head to if you’re after a good atmosphere, brilliant food and a nicely chilled brew. No shortage of screens here to catch whatever game you want to watch, they’re always playing multiple sports at any one time…pure bliss for any sports fan, just like myself!

Monza Sports Bar, Christchurch CBD

Located in the Christchurch Casino, enjoy your sport in style at Monza. The hottest games and tournaments play on the giant flat screens in high definition. Everything from rugby, football and motor sports are played here and there’s even ½ metres pizzas to enjoy with your mates.

Ohoka Rugby Club, Ohoka

The best damned rugby club in the world, and the most feared in woodsheds…

Ohoka rugby has a long and proud history and fosters talent from a very early age through to Championship-winning JAB Grades, Colts, and two Senior Squads. Club Day at Mandeville is a huge affair which brings the community together for some wins, some losses, and plenty of drinking.
