Brought to you by our local partner, Premium Golf NZ, offering premium golf tours in New Zealand and around the world.

Kylie loved Kauri Cliffs

A top spot in the Far North for a romantic getaway that also includes a worth-writing-home-about game of golf. Kauri Cliffs is one of New Zealand's best coastal retreats and the golf course is exceptional, winding its way along the clifftops. Well worth putting on the bucket list for whenever you visit Northland.

K.One loved Cape Kidnappers Golf Course

Considered New Zealand's number one course and rated 16th in the world, Cape Kidnappers is the ultimate treat for any golfer. Play on an incredible course which hugs the dramatic cliffs of Cape Kidnappers, the views are amazing. Yes, it's expensive but the experience and being able to say you've played it (even if just once) is well worth it.

Robbie loved Gulf Harbour Country Club Inc

Devastating views and challenging!

Ari loved The Kinloch Club

Find a mate who plays at Kinloch Golf Course and you can enjoy The Kinloch Club forever. This modern clubhouse has a sweet, classy atmos, perfect for big functions, or a quiet vino in the afternoon. It's a sweet spot to enjoy sweeping views of this 18 hole gold course and the beautiful lake Taupo. I absolutely love it.

Kylie loved Wairakei International Golf Course

A magic spot to play golf in Taupo! Wairakei Golf + Sanctuary is well known globally for golf because of its beautiful scenic surrounds. Opened in 1970, the rolling green course is set on 180 hectares of pristine flora and fauna. My father is an avid golfer and says it continues to be one of the most challenge courses he's ever played.

Kylie loved Royal Wellington Golf Club

Although the visually arresting Royal Wellington Golf Club is a private members club (and known as one of the best private members golf courses in the world), it is possible to play this gem. Local golfers say the best time to be able to tee off is during the week and if you ring the clubhouse with a small group, you are likely to get a slot. Cellphones are not permitted.

Kylie loved Peppers Clearwater Resort

I've had the pleasure of attending a wedding at Clearwater Resort, just out of Christchurch, and it's a superb luxury accommodation and golf course. Dad enjoyed an excellent round on the 18-hole course while I enjoyed cycling around the lake.

Kylie loved Terrace Downs

Nestled in one of Canterbury's most stunning spots, along the roaring blue Rakaia River, is Terrace Downs. You can rest your head at one of the best luxury accommodation spots just outside of Christchurch and play a decent round of golf on the country's most challenging high country golf courses. Ranked as one of the top five golf courses in New Zealand for its layout, the course is known as one of the country's most challenging.

Kylie loved Jack's Point Golf

Dramatic, rocky and mountainous, this recent addition to the New Zealand golfing landscape is one of the most appreciated by overseas visitors. With a backdrop of the Remarkables, you can tee off at five different points - all surrounded by the magical Lake Wakatipu. Well worth a trip to play golf at this spectacular course, just outside of Queenstown.

Kylie loved Milbrook Resort

With the Remarkables towering above and a gentle stream quietly cascading next to you as you walk up the course, Millbrook Resort's 27-hole golf course is one of the most visually spectacular in the world. Even as a casual visitor, $170 for a round of 18 holes is money well spent. Even better, splurge and stay on site. The rounds of golf are much cheaper and you get to experience one of Queenstown's most popular luxury accommodations.

Kylie loved The Hills Golf Club

Well-known NZ jeweller and successful entrepreneur Michael Hill has loved golf all his life and when he moved home to New Zealand - Arrowtown, to be precise - he built a golf course on his property. The world class course is renowned for its incredible vistas and challenging terrain. Guests can stay in luxury at the on-site Lodge at The Hills and explore the Sculpture Park that Michael and his dedicated team have added to help create one of New Zealand's most beautiful spaces.
